Why still not in use html tag named ?

Web developers in most cases inserting icons into the project by using <i> or <svg> either <img> tag. Another tags, such <div> or <span> and a few others are not limited.

However, icons become almost essential in web pages today.

Who knows, is any obstacle to prevent include <icon> tag in standart?
Think, this can improve the semantic and bring a little comfort in workflow.
